Burleigh Soccer Club have implemented a new social event each and every week primarily targeted at their junior base in order to create a new atmosphere and vibe around the club.
The idea known as Thursday Night Junior Dinners began this year with the club offering a professional chef to cook meals from 5:30pm-7pm every Thursday.
The main purpose of the dinners is to get the parents of the juniors into the club for a social gathering every week and create positivity throughout all age groups.
The club has offered Mexican, Italian and Thai themed nights leading into the break with great success across the board.
Each night, there are two adult meals and two kids meals on offer at a very reasonable price.
Club President John Bray was all praise for the support that the parents and kids have shown.
“It has brought the club together and it is great to see. Everyone is getting behind it and it is growing in numbers.”
The experienced Chef Campbell was Head Chef at Yellowfins Seafood Restaurant in Burleigh and has had five years experience working in Marriott Hotel.
The club can only see more positives moving forward by continuing the dinners as the support has been tremendous.
With a new coffee machine also installed, the club has took on a Barista to serve quality coffee Saturday mornings as well.
“We are moving in the right direction and the atmosphere is and positive vibes are building throughout our club. I am really excited to see what we can get to,” said Bray.
