Mudgeeraba Soccer Club have received another major boost heading into the 2018 season, with a new multipurpose facility in the midst for the local club.
The two-stage operation could not have come at a better time for the club, with a new WNPL and increases in numbers making it almost a must for the club.
Stage One features four new changing rooms, an open plan clubhouse, office, canteen, gym and a referees room.
Mudgeeraba club president John White expressed the benefits of the new facility for all his members.
“This move will help the club go to the next level. It will be used by our club all the way through from juniors, womens and senior mens.”
In a major development moving forward, what makes the facility even more appealing is its off grid plan. The facility will not use any main power and the lack of an electrical expense will be a huge saving for the club.
“It is a major boost for the club having the whole facility off grid. None of this would have been possible without the help of Glenn Tozer who went above and beyond to make this happen, the State Government and Ros Bates,” said White.
The facility has also introduced the first fully solar powered field light on the Gold Coast, another major boost for the club going forward.
Stage Two is set to feature two all purpose courts built on the top end of the clubhouse.
“After stage two we will see major benefits throughout the season and especially the off-season. It will allow us to continue training throughout the down period and potentially run competitions out of there. In the long-term, we will see the benefits of this with higher quality fields come season time,” said White.
Congratulations to Mudgeeraba Soccer Club on an amazing facility and best of luck towards the completion of both stages!
