With many expecting the Dolphins to come out and get the edge, it was the Bayhawks who showed that hard work and dedication to the way you want to play pays off, coming away from Nikiforides with all three points.

After two tough games to kick off the season, the Wolves showed why many have tipped them to be a dark horse this year against a Robina side still looking to find their balance this season.

In the Grand Final rematch on Sunday afternoon, Surfers Paradise maintained their perfect start to the season and undefeated streak in tact with a 3-1 victory over Palm Beach away from home. Apollo hit the home side early with two quick goals before the Sharks clawed one back midway through the first half. Nevertheless it was Bruno Rodriguez who scored the sealing goal towards the latter stages to give his side all three points.
