The sun is out so let’s hope we can get a decent amount of games in across both the Premier League and Coast League competitions in Round 3! With only the one game falling by the way side, here is your preview of the round coming up!
Premier League
Broadbeach vs Runaway Bay- Saturday 26th of March- 4pm @ Nikiforides Park
We kick things off at Nikiforides Park when Broadbeach take on Runaway Bay. With the Dolphins narrowly falling last week to the Eagles and Runaway Bay not playing for a couple of weeks, it will be an interesting battle between two sides on different timelines at this stage.
Kingscliff vs Robina- Saturday 26th of March- 4pm @ Walter Peate
After facing two tough tests to kick off 2021, Kingscliff welcome Robina south of the border in a big game for both sides. With Robina in the process of reshuffling the squad and the Wolves eager to make inroads in the competition, expect a fast, free flowing game between these two sides
Musgrave vs Nerang- Saturday 26th of March- 7pm @ Keith Hunt Park
High flying Nerang are looking to make it three wins from three when they take on Musgrave at Keith Hunt Park in the late kick off on Saturday. With the Mustangs unable to get back on the pitch since their opening round defeat to Surfers, the Eagles will feel as though they have the perfect chance to maintain an undefeated start in 2021.
Palm Beach vs Surfers- Sunday 27th of March- 4pm @ Duncan McKenna
The Grand Final rematch is in place for this weekend with both Palm Beach and Surfers eager to take all three points. With Apollo winning the Grand Final in extra time, these two sides across three games last year could not be separated with draws in all three. With both sides hungry for a win, expect an end to end attacking game overall.
Coast League
Tweed vs Tallebudgera- Friday 26th of March- 8:10pm @ Arkinstall Park
Both the Marlins and Tigers will get their first games of the season in on Friday night action south of the border! With a host of recognised ex-Premier League players in both squads, both sides will be eager to make a statement in the early stages of the competition.
Musgrave vs Nerang- Saturday 27th of March- 3:00pm @ Keith Hunt Park
The battle between two of the double up sides takes place in Super Saturday action at Keith Hunt Park as Musgrave take on Nerang! Both sides will be looking to get their first win in 2021 through this competition.
Ormeau vs Pacific Pines- Saturday 27th of March- 4:00pm @ Norfolk Park
Pacific Pines will be looking to convert from last week’s performance as they travel to Ormeau on Saturday afternoon. With the All Stars already banking three points to kick off the season, all eyes will be on who can come out and get the job done.
Palm Beach vs Mudgeeraba- Saturday 27th of March- 5:00pm @ Duncan McKenna Field
Mudgeeraba will finally get to play a game in Coast League when they take on Palm Beach away from home. With the original fixture scheduled for Sid Bigg, the game was reversed and play will go ahead at the Sharks.
Legends vs Tamborine- Sunday 28th of March- 4:00pm @ Keith Hunt Park
Top of the table Legends FC are looking to make it three straight wins to start the campaign when they host Tamborine Mountain on Sunday afternoon. With the Legends defeating the two younger Coast League teams, all eyes will be on them on if they can beat Tamborine this weekend.
